In a recent Canadean study, Rachel Arthur of has had a look at figures on the growth of the beverage market. She writes that Asia has the steepest growth curve by a long way, and in 2021 will make up more than 47% of the market for beverages. The developed markets are generally losing sales volume, compared to the emerging markets.

“While Asia is predicted to contribute two-thirds of global incremental beverage consumption, China alone will be responsible for one-third of the additional volume.”

Also very interesting: As to Canadean, of the top ten highest volume markets in 2021, Canadean predicts that only three developed markets – the US, Japan, and Germany – will feature in the ranking.
