That´s a realy good news: Thanks to a global network of cardboard suppliers since August 2016 100% of SIG carton packs can be labelled with the logo of the the Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC™). This means SIG can guarantee that sufficient quantities of wood from FSC-certified, responsibly managed forests have been bought for the manufacture of the unprocessed cardboard, so that every customer across the world can bring to market carton packs with the FSC label.
In this short video Kim Carstensen, Director General FSC, explained why forests are vital for all of us and how SIG contributes to the vision of FSC.
SIG is the first to be able to tag all of its carton pack with the FSC label. Lot´s of people expressed their pleasure about that milestone on twitter:
